The Inside Scoop

You went into business for yourself to enjoy the freedom of being your own boss and being able to create a business you love. And for the most part that’s true.

But sometimes, like at month end, it doesn’t feel like you’re living a life of freedom. When you’re crunching numbers, you feel anything but free.

When you’re busy running your company and you need to do payroll and month end and there’s only so many hours in the day, you don’t feel free. Every time you’re doing your accounts, you’re taking the focus off the revenue generating parts of your business and forcing yourself to do work that you don’t enjoy. Which is not what you set out to do when you decided to work for yourself.

Sound familiar?

Now there may even be some of you, (yes, we see you hiding behind that pile of unfiled receipts) who’ve chosen the head in the sand approach. You live with that nagging thought “I really should do my books” and then all of a sudden, tax time rolls around and you start to hate your life.

Let us tell you a little secret.

You know the financial tasks that you loathe, avoid and begrudgingly do. Well, we love them. In fact, accounting is our superpower. We help businesses to focus on what they do best by doing what we do best.

We work with CPAs who’re looking for experienced and trustworthy bookkeeping services for their clients. We work together with a company CPA for a comprehensive, first-class, accounting solution.

So, who are we? Where are we and who do we help? And can we come over immediately to fix up your books?

Ok, let’s start from the top.

ACP is based in Midlothian, Virginia, just outside of Richmond. Pam Chanfrau and her team of experienced bookkeepers serve over 50 local businesses – from start-ups and not for profits, right through to multi-million dollar enterprises.

Pam felt drawn to Richmond 25 years ago, with the historic charm and architecture being the major draw cards. Leaving behind friends and family in New Jersey, Pam and her husband Bob made the huge leap and have never looked back. They love the small town feel, the close-knit community and the opportunity for entrepreneurs. In Richmond you can make a difference without getting lost in the crowd.

When she’s not saving business owners from their bookkeeping, you’ll find Pam at the beach, or heading to the mountains, with Bob and their rescue dog, Quincy.

If you’d like Pam to chat to you about your individual bookkeeping dilemma, please get in touch to set up an appointment.
